I've been oohing and awing over them for a couple years now and when our other camera broke it seamed like the perfect timing to take the plunge and upgrade. I've always looked into Nikon, probably because I was more familiar with the name and I knew others who had Nikons. And I was ready to purchase one until shortly before I began running into a few people who were Canon users. And I started to hear that they were more user friendly and one big selling point was the fact that all their lenses are interchangeable. Well and the fact that Scotty had a Canon, and let me tell you I need all the help I can get, or at least someone to call and ask questions to try and figure out what the heck I'm suppose to do with the thing!
To be honest, even though I love photography, I don't know a thing about cameras other than point and shoot, haha! All I knew was that those cameras took pretty pictures and I wanted pretty pictures.
So we decided on the Canon T3i and it came with an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, the only thing I can say is that I got a cramp in my hand after holding it for only a couple minutes (sad, I know!) and that's after I got over my fear and touched it and picked it up. Oh boy do I need help, I have a lot to learn.
So, all that to say I am way beyond excited, totally and completely nervous and a bit, well a lot overwhelmed but here we go on another adventure. I'm warning you now, the following pictures and posts will be everything from blown out (check out my photog lingo!!) to way to dark, blurry or blue and anything in between but hey a girl's got to start somewhere and I'm starting from step one.
| I hear singing in the background! |
| I finally picked it up after staring at it for a while |
