Bowling

We had a fun night last week bowling with the Paulson family.  We had meant to take their family out for a while and do something fun with all of them as a thank you for all their help and sacrifice as a family in helping us build our home.  Bob and Trevor spent many many hours at our house last year helping Nate build but that meant that the rest of the family spent many many hours without their dad and oldest brother around.  That was a huge sacrifice of time on Sheryll's part as she continued to take care of the rest of the family.  So we wanted to not only thank Bob and Trevor but the whole family.

Everyone had a blast!  It was crazy and fun and lots of laughs with all our kids!  A great night all around!

What was even more funny was that before we started bowling I asked Sheryll and Bob if they were secret league bowlers or if there was anything we should know about their bowling abilities.  Like, should we be expected to be smashed in our final score by them.  Well low and behold maybe they should have asked Nathan and I that question instead.  We go bowling every once in a while, maybe 3 or 4 times a year.  Not often at all.  And we're happy when we break 100.  Yeah that's right, we're that bad.  But we don't care, we just have fun and enjoy it.  Well I attribute what happened to us as being distracted with all that was going on with everyone and trying to keep up with the kids.  And the next thing you know Nathan and I bowled our second highest games ever!  Bahaha!  It was pretty funny!  My highest scoring game was a 199 when I was 8 months pregnant with McKenzie.  This time was a bit less but still way better than I normally do.  And no I am not pregnant!  And Nate just blew us all out of the water with his final score of the night, a 166! Wow!

Everyone dd really good!  And most of us were really improving by the end of the game, except for me who decided to bomb on my last couple bowls, yeah, the one's that really count!  All the kids loved it and of course wanted to keep playing and the night to not end!

Thanks for a fun night out Paulson Family! We love you guys!

You can't forget the best part about bowling... the shoes!

Such a strong little girl!

She wanted to move that ramp all by herself every time her turn was over.

It was a fun and tiring night!

And the final scores for the kids.

And the final scores for the adults and older kids... that would be Nate's 166!
