Hello Neighbor!

There has been a ton of building going on this summer in Dakota Ridge Estates, which I am grateful for because it means less to be built in the future.

But with all the new building our minds have to readjust and we're realizing that 2 acres is not that much space.  The lots up here range from 2 acre lots to 19+ acres with the majority of the lots being in the 2 acre range.

When we first found our lot there were only a couple homes built our of the 25 lots available.  Well that is changing rapidly and houses and springing up all over the place.  It's fun for the kids to watch the action and sad for us to see all these houses going up but we'll get used to the new view soon enough.

There also have been a couple homes that have literally gone up in a day, now thats what I'm talking about!  A house in a day!  Where do I sign up?!

Anyways, here's some of our new neighbors.

This house was our first "house in a day" experience.  The crane was lifting the sections of the house into place in the morning.

We headed into town to have lunch with Nate and when we got back this is what was there!!  A house!

He's acros the revene from us, if you're looking at the back of our house it's off to the left.  I'm bummed because their view is of our back yard.

This is the last house being built in our cul-de-sac.  This is looking out from the front of our house.  They are working on the foundation in this photo.

This is the house just off to the right in the photo above.  They are in the other cul-de-sac and it went up at the begining of summer.

This is the foundation of the house that will be built that we look directly over.  You can read more about my dissapointment of their location here.  This picture is taken from the dirt road as you come up the hill looking from their house up to ours.

This house will be built right below the guys house in the above photo.  We will probably only see his roof, thankfully.  Right now nothing has been done other than dirt work.

This house is to the right of the picture above and right in the hillside right below our house.  Our property line is on the top of the ridge so if you walk to the edge of our property you look directly down on their house.  We won't be able to see them from our house though, again, very thankful for that.

This house was another one that went up in a day, it was brought in on semi trucks in sections and went up in a day, they are right across the street to the right from the picture above.  Maybe in the winter when the trees are bare we'll be able to see their house a little bit, they are below us, our house is to the left on the hill.
