A Grand Entrance

At least I feel like we're on our way to having a grand entrance!  What a difference in the look of the front of our house those pillars made!  It draws your attention to the front entrance of our house instead of towards of garage. 

It seems to be the style here that your garage is the center piece of your home.  It's big, it's out in front, it's what you see and somewhere behind the garage you'll find a front door. 

I want the entrance of our home to be inviting and welcoming, and while all of that is not yet complete it sure is on it's way!

Some of them are waist high and they are all over our yard like that. One day we'll have a nice yard



The pillars will remain white and the bottom will be wrapped in the brick mild siding like in  the picture below. 

The front of the house along the bottom will be the brick mold siding with the yellow above, you can get the idea from this picture.

The porch dormer will be painted white and our front door will be painted black, eventually. It's fun to watch it all come together piece by piece and with the pillars up it give it more of a grand and welcoming feel!
