All I ever wanted to be was a wife and a mother. That's it. Nothing else seemed to matter. Just those two roles. Although a great desire from the Lord, this posed many problems when it came to high school graduation and college. My parents stood by me and helped me try to see the bigger picture when Nathan was not yet in my life, all the while the Lord was guiding and directing me in the way He desired me to go. And in just a short time marriage and motherhood became a reality.
"You never look back and take the challenges on with so much joy." my Daddy wrote. And it's true, I've never looked back. I love being married and I know there is no one more suited for either of us, Nathan and I are absolutely perfect for each other. And I truly love being a mother. I am blessed beyond words and comprehension. All the joy and the pain. The laughter and the tears. The highs and the lows. The moments of celebration and the moments of fear. The exciting and mundane. The watching, the learning, the growing... the responsibility. I cherish it all.
I am honored and blessed and humbled to be a mother. A mother to three beautiful and wonderful children whom the Lord has entrusted to us for a time. And I wouldn't trade it for anything!
All I can do is thank the Lord for his abundant blessings. And for His grace and mercy as I travel this beautiful road called motherhood.
