What A Wonderful Sunday

This weekend was a big one around here.  Father's Day was Sunday and today is Nathan's 30th Birthday! 

We have a couple big trips already planned for this summer so taking off for the whole weekend really wasn't a choice this year.  We still need to get as much work done on the house as possible.  So the plan was for Nate to work Friday evening and Saturday, enjoy Sunday together for Father's Day and take Monday off from work for a special birthday spent together as well. 

At one point we had even thrown around the idea of an Open House/ Birthday Party which would have been perfect but we knew we wouldn't be able to pull it off.  This place is a bit of a disaster and our guest list was about 200, sooooo.  We'll hopefully plan that for another date... maybe the end of summer?!

Anyways, we kept Father's Day simple since today is our party day but Nate did open up his Father's Day gifts and his birthday gift (which I might add that the kids were able to keep it a surprise, which totally surprised me!)

We enjoyed a family breakfast, church at our house, and a little afternoon shopping trip to town.  A rest in the afternoon, dinner and some fun time playing with Dad in the evening.  Perfect.
