A Girl and Her Horse

This post is mainly for the benefit of my mom and dad who requested to see the video I got of Janessa riding our little rocking horse.  And when I say riding I mean like she's ready to gallop off into the sunset!

A few weeks ago a friend of mine was planning on having a yard sale and as soon as I heard I jumped on the band wagon so I could clear out a bunch of stuff from our basement and get rid of it!

This last summer my parents came up with a trailer full of stuff, I mean stuff as in stuff from when I was a little kid kinda stuff, along with some pretty awesome items like our piano and train table and other things.  Anyways, it needed to be weeded through and the yard sale was the perfect opportunity to push me into doing just that.

The weekend was rainy but we had a perfect indoor location and in spite of the bad weather our garage sale turned out quite well!  Tara sold a lot of her amazing artwork, which I would highly recommend checking it out here on her facebook page!

At one point Nathan stopped by during his lunch break and was walking around holding Janessa when he decided to let her 'ride' our little rocking horse that was up for sale.  As soon as he set her on the horse and she started rocking I knew I couldn't sell it!  She was loving that horse and she was just too cute on it that I promptly took the price tag off.

Ever since then, when one of the other kids presses the sound on the horse, Janessa perks up and heads straight for the rocking horse to get on and ride it!  Here's a video I got of her riding her horse.

Grandma and Papa had sent it to us in the mail for McKenzie's 2nd birthday, which you can check out here.  She was in love with horses at the time and while she got a little use out of the horse her birthday was right before we started packing up the house to move into the camper and the horse went into storage and got very little use.  But now the horse has found it's home in our house once again and getting much use this time around!
