Papa & Grandma Visit Part 1: Fun Edition

Two and a half days, 1700 miles and a trailer packed to the brim, Grandma & Papa rolled into town this past Sunday (August 14th) to meet Janessa, visit and get to work on our house!  We were SO excited to have them here.  This was a trip in the makings, we have all hoped that this trip could be made for a while since my (Jeana) parents have wanted to bring a load of items they've had at their house for a long time: our piano, antique dresser, doll items, a Thomas the Train set, and much much more.  And we figured the time was right now that we're building our house and they could come up and help too.
We had such a wonderful and productive visit!  Our mornings were spent hanging out together, playing with the kids around the farm, on the swingset and trampoline, and the late morning, afternoon and evenings were mostly spent at the property or making trips to Menards.  My dad was able to do a lot of dirt work and make us a yard with the backhoe and a rented loader.  On the second day of use the backhoe stopped working, we were able to rent a Loader for a few hours one evening and Layne was able to come out Friday and spend the majority of the day trying to fix the backhoe which was a huge blessing.  He was successful, an answer to much prayer, and we spent our last evening together having pizza and watching Papa try and finish up the dirt work around the house!
Our time together went by way too fast, as it usually does, but we are always so grateful for whatever time we can get together.  We're looking forward to their visit this Christmas and we're hoping to have our home a little more put together by then!!
Here's some pictures of our time together and the progress made at the property:
^Grandma & Papa made it!  This was a long asphalt hill Zeke went running down to get to them, we're just glad it didn't turn into one of those classic wipeout moments ^
